Senior Lecturer in British Cultural and Literary History 0.4fte
Job description
The Department of English, Creative Writing, History & Politics is a thriving and successful academic community. It consistently achieves outstanding results in the National Student Satisfaction Survey and is regularly ranked in the top departments in the UK for that criteria, as well as for the 'value added' nature of the student experience.
As a Senior
Lecturer in British Cultural and Literary History in the department, the post holder will play a significant role in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
The Department's two main disciplinary teams are composed of active researchers who made a creditable contribution to the previous REF process (History/English). An opportunity has arisen to appoint a Senior Lecturer who provides high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and learning and will publish research at a level commensurate with the requirements of national assessment processes, notably in the fields of public history, popular historical journalism- writing/media history work etc. The post represents a good opportunity for an active research scholar to come and work with a like-minded team, as well as to contribute to the teaching of our students.
The Unviersity of Chichester welcomes applications from BAME minority backgrounds as they are under represented as this level.
Informal enquiries about the recruitment process are welcomed by Professor Hugo Frey, Head of Department by email at h.frey@chi.ac.uk.
