Senior Lecturer in Charity Development & Arts Development
Job description
The University of Chichester Business School has an exciting opportunity for a part-time candidate, working 18.5 hours per week, to support the delivery of the BA (Hons) Charity Development and Arts Development programmes. The subject areas to be delivered will include (though are not exclusively): understanding the third-sector; corporate fundraising;
donor psychology; community fundraising; events fundraising; and individual giving.
In this role you will contribute to and lead on a number of cross-programme teaching and tutorial activities. You will be responsible for preparing and marking assessments, supervising student placements and the preparation of module content.
To be successful in your application you will be able to demonstrate knowledge of current initiatives underpinning the subject area and be familiar with complex and conceptual ideas in multiple areas relevant to the role. You will also have experience of fundraising in the not-for-profit sector that incorporates a period sufficient to have managed a full cycle of cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
Candidates should demonstrate in your application multiple subject area knowledge and experience (although it is not necessary to demonstrate the full spectrum of subjects as outlined in the Job Profile).
Informal enquiries are welcomed by Donna Day Lafferty, Senior Lecturer/Programme Coordinator in Charity Development on extension 01243 816179 or email D.DayLafferty@chi.ac.uk
Interview Date:
17 January 2018
The University of Chichester welcomes applicants from BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) backgrounds as they are currently under represented at this level.
