Senior Lecturer in Sports Therapy
Job description
We are a modern university with clear values and a long history in Higher Education and are proud to have been recently awarded Silver in the Teaching & Excellence Framework. We offer quality education and an excellent student learning experience and are located in a beautiful region of the South Coast of England.
The Institute of Sport is a vibrant department
of the University of Chichester with wide-ranging accolades, a variety of facilities to support teaching and learning and student experience. We encourage all our academic staff to explore research opportunities and inspire innovative and new ways to grow and improve our establishment.
We welcome applications from early career Academics and are looking for a motivated Senior Lecturer in Sports Therapy to join our team and make a significant contribution to the development and delivery of the Sports Therapy modules across the Institute of Sport. As a Senior Lecturer your time will be divided between teaching, teaching-related administration, assessment, research and income generation activities.
As part of the role you will undertake clinical supervision of Sports Therapy students and contribute towards the University of Chichester Sports Performance and Rehabilitation Unit. You will also actively engage in a range of activities that ensure learning and teaching quality and will engage in scholarly activity and research as agreed with your line manager.
A good relevant undergraduate degree with further professional or academic qualifications at Masters level in a related subject, and an up to date knowledge of Sports Therapy are essential for this role. Relevant Clinical experience will also be considered, and early career applicants are also encouraged for this role.
The University of Chichester welcomes applicants from BAME minority backgrounds as they are underrepresented at Senior Lecturer level.
Do you have questions about the role or the recruitment process? Informal enquiries are welcomed by Dr Neal Smith via email at N.Smith@chi.ac.uk or telephone 01243 816295.
